is where you begin your own diving adventures. Our diving courses are
your tools to GOOD diver training. If your goal is to develop and
enhance your diving skills, become a more competent SCUBA diver, and
achieve a greater level of independence down under, then United Divers
has the courses for you.
Your Diving Adventure might start with the Try Scuba program or any of
the other three beginning programs and, with some perseverance,
culminate at the highest recognition level in diving!

Overview:
Try Scuba is an orientation to diving that
allows non-divers to experience diving in a pool or open water, under
the direct supervision of a dive leader, with a minimal amount of
instruction and classroom time.
Knowledge: The academic
session focuses on the immediate needs of divers such as equipment
adjustment, equalizing pressure, breathing, moving through the water
and orientation.
Skills: So you can start
diving as soon as possible, you'll practice a reduced skill set with
United Divers Comfort
Through Repetition teaching method in a pool/confined water
session.
Equipment: With the goal being
to develop a working knowledge of scuba equipment, divers will receive
an introduction to basic scuba equipment with an emphasis on equipment
handling.
Results: Upon completing the
Try Scuba program, divers can apply their experience and receive credit
for their Try Scuba course when they enroll in the Open Water Diver
Program.

Overview:
It is important
to have the
knowledge and skills to truly enjoy swimming on the surface
with a
snorkel (snorkeling) and diving below the surface without scuba - the
sport of skin diving. The whole family can
get more out of the underwater world once they learn how to properly
use a mask, fins, and snorkel. Discussion of techniques to dive below the
surface to enjoy to the beauty of the sea in shallow water, to explore
marine life, or collect underwater objects
Knowledge: In the
pool session focuses on the immediate needs of skin divers such as
equipment
adjustment, equalizing pressure, breathing, surface diving, moving
through the water
and orientation.
Skills:

The easiest ways to

Getting water out of your

Equipment:
United Divers provides mask, fins, and snorkel for the course. Students
may bring their own own equipment, and for students who wish to
purchase their own own United offers a large selection of masks,
snorkels, and fins. Stop in so we can educate you and so that we
can make sure that you get the proper fitting equipment.
Results: Upon completing the
Skin Diving Course, divers can apply their experience and receive
credit
for their Skin Diving course when they enroll in the Open Water Diver
Program.

Diving offers a lifetime of exciting adventure and the ideal way to
begin that adventure is with United Divers Open Water Diver course.
Under the guidance of a professional United
Divers Instructor, you will develop the knowledge and skills
necessary to enjoy a lifetime of underwater exploration.
Knowledge: United Divers'
modular, six-session teaching system includes a video, manual, study
guide, DiveLog and dive tables. And with United Divers' home study
approach, you will be able to minimize your time in the classroom
allowing for more time in the water developing ability and comfort.
Skills: In multiple pool and
open water session, you will practice scuba skills with United Divers'
exclusive Comfort
Through Repetition teaching method. Some of the skills you

Overview:
United Divers' Scuba Rangers course is a great opportunity for kids to
try SCUBA or skin diving. Scuba
Rangers is for any active kid age 8 to
12. You must have basic swimming skills, be comfortable in the water,
and be in good health. What's Cool About Scuba
Rangers?
With Scuba Rangers, you can scuba dive in a pool with real diving
equipment, play games underwater, and other fun stuff! What Else Is
Cool?
You're
part of a special, elite group - scuba divers!
You
accomplish
things that will amaze your parents - and yourself.

good sense around the water, and increase awareness of water safety.
You
build
confidence, self-esteem and pride.
Unlike
many
other sports, scuba diving can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
Scuba

seals, and thousands of types of fish. You can dive in kelp, on coral

Knowledge:
In the pool session, you will be introduced to scuba equipment,
breathing, moving underwater and orientation.
Skills:.In
the program, you work your way through five basic levels. You'll get
cool rewards for each level you complete.
Level 1:
Red Ranger - Water safety
techniques,
swimming and snorkeling skills.
Level 2:
White Ranger - Snorkel review and first
time on scuba.
Level 3:
Blue Ranger - More scuba skills and
underwater photography.
Level 4: Silver Ranger - More scuba, fun and
games.
Level 5: Demo
Ranger - Demo Ranger is the
highlight, because you proudly demonstrate your skills to parents,
family and friends. After Demo Ranger, you get a temporary completion
card. You are also
eligible to join the Scuba Rangers Club, where the
fun really begins. Rangers
are expected to make a commitment to
learning the proper diving
skills and following
safe diving practices -
and to having fun! Diving is something very few people can do - maybe
not even your parents!

Overview:
Recapture that feeling of total confidence by updating the diving
skills you learned in your Open Water Diver course.
Knowledge: Your Scuba Skills
Update Dive Leader will review the knowledge you learned in your Open
Water Diver class as well as cover any new material. You will review
dive planning, dive tables and dive execution.
Skills: In the Scuba Skills
Update you will have the opportunity to practice and review the scuba
skills you learned in your open water diver class and learn techniques
that that may have changed since you took your class. You will have the
opportunity to refresh your memory and motor coordination and practice
your self-aid skills, all with the guidance of a dive leader.
Equipment: The scuba skills
update is a great opportunity to re-learn your current equipment, or
the perfect time to learn about and adjust your new equipment with the
guidance of a dive leader.
