Prerequisites:
Open
Water Diver Course or equivalent.
Knowledge:
The intent of this
training is to help you to become an Advanced Diver. The material
covered in this course is intended to help you gain more dive
experience with the benefit of being supervised by a certified SCUBA
Training Professional. It includes a self-study guide and some home
study to be completed and reviewed before your open water dives. This
course builds on the material you were presented with in your open
water certification course.
Skills:
The Advanced Open Water
Diver training dives will introduce you to a variety of popular
specialty diving areas, including dive experiences in deep diving,
night diving and underwater navigation, Wreck diving, and Underwater
Naturalist diving as well as, a more buoyancy control practice at
deeper dive levels. You will see critters and conditions in your
Advanced Open Water course that you did not see in your Open Water
course. This course thoroughly covers the area of compass usage
underwater to enable you to know where you are at any give point in the
dive. However, the emphasis of this level of instruction is to provide
you with a wide range of dive experience which will enable you to gain
a level of independence that will insure that you achieve a safer more
pleasurable level of diver competence.
